About Waxing

Waxing is a method of hair removal that involves pulling the hair out from the hair root.  After Waxing new hair will not grow back after 3- 8 weeks.   Some people may see hairgrowth after one week, if the hair has been shaved previously.

Before Waxing TIPS:

• Make sure that there are no wounds, acne or rashes on the area to be waxed
• Do not shave the desired spot before waxing,  the hair should be at least 6 mm for it to be successfully pulled out by the wax.
• Trimming down longer hair makes waxing less painful.
• Exfoliating the area the day before ensures a thorough removal of the hair and ingrown hairs.

After Waxing TIPS:

• Never moisturise the skin after waxing, wait at least 12 hours to avoid irritation.
• Avoid chlorinated water, swimming at the beach or heavy perspiration for at least 24 hours.
• A tea tree soothing cream is useful to soothe and calm the skin 1 hour after waxing.
